EUDR

Q&A

1. What is the EUDR and when does it come into effect?
The EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) is a European law that comes into force on 30 December 2025. It requires companies to prove that their products do not contribute to deforestation.

2. Does the EUDR apply to tyres?
Yes. Tyres that contain natural rubber fall under the EUDR. A so-called Due Diligence Statement (DDS) must be submitted for these tyres before they can be sold or exported within the EU.

3. What about existing stock?
Tyres that were imported into or sold within the EU before 30 December 2025 are not subject to the EUDR. This also applies to tyres made from natural rubber imported before that date.

4. How is Tyremotive handling this?
Tyremotive has set up its processes to fully comply with the EUDR requirements. We work closely with our suppliers and partners to ensure the origin of natural rubber is fully traceable. Our administrative systems have also been adapted to correctly process all required data.

5. What does this mean for me as a customer?
We ensure that all matters related to EUDR compliance are taken care of for you. With each delivery, you will receive a DDS reference number linked to the EUDR registration. You can easily keep the reference number in your records to demonstrate your purchases comply with EU regulations.

6. How will I receive the reference numbers?
They are usually included with the delivery documents, such as the invoice or consignment note, or sent through a separate system, for example via a customer portal.
